The Rise Community
A community of bold, badass individuals who genuinely care about you. At Rise Republic, it’s about more than just a workout class—it’s the connections we build around it. From day one, our mission is to make you feel welcome and part of something bigger. This isn’t just a place to sweat; it’s a space where you feel at home, surrounded by people who uplift, inspire, and grow together.

It all started with a dream that turned into a plan which turned into a new studio. I wanted to create a space that was unique to Edmonton and here came Rise Republic. It was a plan 2 years in the making but with great persistence and determination, the vision came to light.
I have spent the last 7 years working in health care and teaching fitness on the side. I have always had a passion for the good of community especially when it involves a workout class. There is something about group fitness that is special and I am so grateful to have the space to do what I love each and every day.
Class/Teaching Style: Climb & HIIT - Intense, Motivational & One Big Party
Music Genre: Mostly EDM - From House to Bass. Any good Pop Remix or Throwback Mash Up. It honestly depends on the mood of the day. Love ALL Genres.

I am so excited to be apart of the Rise Family. When I am not yelling lovingly at people during class, you can find me curled up with a book, working out at the gym or playing board games with friends. You will meet my two personalities in class, the Drill Sergeant (Pushing you) and the Mother (Caring for you).
Why do I love to teach?
I love to teach because it gives me a sense of community. Being able to be a part of someone’s journey to a healthy and happy individual makes me beam with a sense of pride in what I am doing. Fitness has done so much for me both mentally and physically, and I hope to be that change for someone else.
Class/Teaching Style: HIIT - Powerful & Quirky
Music Genre: Folk/Alternative/Pop/EDM. You can count on a Taylor Swift/Beyonce song in every playlist. No matter what!

I love creating a class where every fitness level can be challenged, whether its your first class or you're a seasoned vet in the dumbbell trenches; We're going to get sweaty and get out of our own heads for the hour focusing only on moving our bodies.... also I am pretty clumsy and not great at counting... will we hold for 30 or 45 seconds? Will I trip on a rouge weight? not even I know.... but I will be dancing shamelessly to my own playlist either way.
Why do I love to teach?
I work at a desk all day, so getting to the studio to either take a class or motivate a class really completes my daily routine and fills that active lifestyle I crave. There is something special to me about collective sweat, each person has their unique goals yet collectively they can share energy and push through a tough challenge together to help maintain our physical and mental wellness. I love that moment you choose to stay in for that full set, to up your weights, or to get that extra last rep in, that moment of - I am strong, I've got this, and I am going for it and that amazing feeling of accomplishment after - and maybe a lingering soreness to remember how hard you worked - It can't be beat.
Class/Teaching Style: HIIT - Challenging, Inspiring & Fun
Music Genre: Everything. No Genre is off limits, but it'll be fun; There will be some throwbacks, always.

About You/Why you love teaching - I love teaching because I believe fitness is not only great for your body, but also essential for mental health. I am dedicated to providing a safe space for connection and access to movement in a way that is meaningful for each person who walks through the door. When I’m not at Rise you might find me out on sweat dates with friends, cuddled up with my beagle or hitting the books as I continue my studies as a graduate student. I hope to inspire the same balance of work and play - come climb with me and embrace the opportunity to push your limits, feel empowered, and leave feeling better inside and out.

Music Style - a blend of high-energy remixes of both recent chart-toppers and classic hits to keep the energy up and the workout momentum strong
